A service visit to clean and inspect the A/C basket and strainer on a vessel involves a thorough examination to ensure optimal performance. Technicians will first access the A/C unit strainer, carefully removing the strainer to inspect for debris and buildup. After cleaning it thoroughly, they will check for any signs of wear or damage. Finally, the strainer will be reinstalled, and the system will be tested to confirm its efficiency, ensuring smooth operation during voyages or dockside.

You should check and clean the strainer every few weeks during heavy use seasons, and more often in areas with a lot of floating debris or growth.
